Wooden Bird

how do i know if my tooth is going to fall out?
i was drunk last night and ran into a wooden bird feeder. (dummy) I hit the thing so hard it busted the inside of my top lip pretty bad. Then i noticed that my front tooth was a little loose and knocked back some! my parents spent a lot of money on my braces when I was little so my teeth would be strait and now my front teeth aren’t level with each other. There’s not a considerable difference, but my gum, tooth, and fat lip hurt super bad this morning. I want to know if my tooth is going to fall out, straiten back up, or forever be where it is now. Someone, please, give me some good advice.
Hi! First ice down the fat lip and try and find your retainer from years(?) ago and put that on. That will stablilize the tooth and put it back into place. IF YOU hit the mouth hard enough to push the tooth BACK then you may need to call the Orthodontist and have him check out that you did not fracture the tooth or the root. Let’s hope you lonly stressed and tramutized the periodontal ligament and that can pull the tooth back and tighten it up.
I WOULD have your dentist splint the tooth to the one next to it so that it is immobilized and can heal up, otherwise you could get an infection from the mobilaty and end up with a root canal. This needs to be done tomorrow.
No lecture, but in the future, if you are unstable, have someone walk with you. I’ve seen alot worse in my 25 years in dentistry. One guy had been in a fight and had his jaw BROKEN in 6 places and felll asleep and didn’t know it. You can guess how he felt when he woke up and had to barf too! Wired for 4 months. So be more careful. M
