Castle Loch
What tourist attractions do you recommend for an American in Scotland?
I will be in Scotland for about 4 or 5 days in June. I probably won’t have time to visit the northern highlands, and will probably stick more toward Edinborough and Glasglow, or a day trip from either.
I have on my list: Edinborough Castle, Loch Ness, and the Royal Botanical Gardens. I’m sure I’m probably missing some very nice places though.
Oops, I meant Loch Lomond, not Loch Ness. I’m not looking for the Loch Ness monster.
1. Edinburgh. The Royal Mile from the castle to Holyrood; Climb Arthur’s seat, Take the train to North Berwick and walk along the beach. Explore the New Town on foot. A boat trip to Inch Colm from Queensferry.
2. Glasgow. Pollock House and the Burrell Collection, The Kelvingrove Gallery and museum,
3. Stirling Castle.
Forget Loch Ness. It is not very pretty or interesting. It is also quite far north time wise.
